Obtaining Warranty Service
For your records, please retain your original proof of purchase. Record the
product number and serial number. Your product number is on a label on
the rear of the enclosure, for example, “J3291A”. The serial number is on
the same label.

Dealer
If you encounter difficulty, begin by contacting the HP Authorized Dealer
who sold this product to you. Your HP Authorized Dealer will be familiar
with your requirements and can provide assistance.
Service from
HP Customer
Care Centers
Hewlett-Packard’s Customer Care Centers will assist you in case of
difficulties with your HP SureStore HD Server. Use the telephone numbers
in appendix A, “Getting Support”, for all post-sales support, including
problems and failures with the product. They will help you to troubleshoot
and isolate the failed components, and they will provide warranty service.
Preparation
Go to chapter 11, “Resolving Problems with Your Server”, and try to
identify the failing component in your product—either the server module,
an HP hard disk drive, an HP tape drive, or the rest of the enclosure. Also
prepare the following information:

HP product number
•
Serial number
•
Date of purchase
•
Your shipping address
Then call an HP Customer Care Center as described above to arrange
replacement of the defective component.
