Lost or Damaged
Files
To restore lost files to an intact file system, restore them from tape
or other sources. If you have a local tape drive, see Restoring Files
on page 9-9 in chapter 9, Backing Up and Restoring Files.
Disaster:
Lost or Damaged
File System
If you lose two or more hard disk drives or lose the file system in
some other way, then you need to restore all of the following:
The volume.
All data files and directories, including any directory names
that are parents of shares or of backup file sets.
Shares, users, groups, passwords, and backup schedules, since
they are stored in files on the volume.
The server and network configuration files, since they are
stored on the volume.
If the server module needs replacement, then these
configuration files are needed to restore the servers
configuration to its Flash memory.
Go to the procedure Disaster Recovery on page 11-19.
