Purpose of the update
The iSCSI and iSCSI/FCoE firmware versions for this release are MEZ50-3_2_2_12 and
MEZ75-3_2_2_12. This firmware release includes the following iSCSI module and iSCSI/FCoE
module fixes and enhancements:
Enhancement to limit the number of CLI client sessions to two on MEZ50/MEZ75.
Enhancement to management port to prevent the issue of unresponsive RPC server caused by
HP SIM monitoring.
5900CP VFC shut or undo shut results in missing P6550-MEZ75 port group PLOGIs.
Resolve an issue where MEZ75 FCoE FKA (FIP-Keep-Alive) is not always eight seconds after
FIP FLOGI accept.
Resolve an issue where 10G MEZ75 FCoE links are interrupted after a 5900AF or 5900CP
switch reboot.
Resolve the MEZ75 FCoE interop with 5900CP and 5900AF issue of unresponsive PFC after
an overflow condition caused by excess of RSCN and PLOGI frames.
Resolve an issue of unexpected termination which is detected when host adapter is configured
with incomplete target IQN name.
During CHAP settings, host fails to discover and login to iSCSI targets presented by the MEZ50
and MEZ75.
This firmware release carries forward the following fixes and enhancements from the previous three
releases:
Resolves MEZ50 (MEZ75) module configuration save and restore failures using CV 10.x
Resolves updating of WS2012 version descriptors in standard inquiry data, essential for
qualifying WS2012 SCSI compliance
Resolves MEZ75 module’s management port RPC server lookout during heavy data port IO.
Resolves offline FCoE initiator and Command View offline HOST status display, after a port
connectivity change between iSCSI/FCoE modules.
Resolves LUN copy completion and returns undecodable sense information to Solaris Host.
Enhancement for discovery run from HP Systems Insight Manager results (SIM) results in RPC
client process to run indefinitely and consume resources. RPC client exists upon receiving any
invalid commands or parameters from HP SIM.
Addition of Microsoft Windows 2012 Host Mode support
Additional VAAI capability for thin LUN UNMAP support of WS2012 disk optimize and ESX
HOST modes.
The CLI ->Set NTP command or HP Command View Use NTP Server date/time failed
to activate when enabled.
