HP IP Distance Gateway Release Notes (5697-1529, January 2012)

Description
The HP IP Distance Gateway (mpx110) provides Fibre Channel SAN extension over an IP network.
This product is used in conjunction with the P6000/EVA, P9000/XP, and P10000/3PAR families
of storage systems and Continuous Access/Remote Copy software to provide long-distance remote
replication for disaster tolerance.
A base FCIP configuration consists of a minimum of two mpx110 gateways, HP part number
AG680A, one for the local site and one for the remote site.
For hardware redundancy, an additional IP Distance Gateway is available, HP part number
AG681A, HP IP Distance Gateway Upgrade (single mpx110 for redundancy, one per site required).
Purpose of the update
The mpx110 firmware version for this release is 2.4.4.5. This release includes several fixes. See
the “Fixes and enhancements” (page 4) section for more information.
NOTE: The mpx110 requires HP mpx Manager version 2.0.30, build 127 (minimum).
IPv6 support requires mpx110 hardware version 6 (minimum). To verify the mpx110 hardware
version, issue the show system command in the CLI.
