Read Before Installing HP-UX Virtual Partitions (A.02.01)

• LPMC and icod_stat Reporting

In a vPars environment, the icod_stat command does not

report the correct number of “Unassigned processors that

can be assigned” if the following conditions occur:

1. the LPMC monitor marks a failing processor for

deconfiguration

2. the virtual partition with the failed processor is

rebooted

If the above conditions occur, the failed processor is

erroneously included in the count of “Unassigned processors

that can be assigned” as reported by the icod_stat

command.
