5 HP-UX vPars and Integrity VM support policy
This chapter provides details about supported combinations of hardware and software for use with
HP-UX vPars and Integrity VM.
For support information about specific combinations of hardware and software that are not explicitly
listed here, see an authorized HP representative.
5.1 Support duration
Table 1 (page 29) shows support duration for active versions of HP-UX vPars and Integrity VM.

NOTE: Enhancements and defect fixes for HP-UX vPars and Integrity VM product are primarily
delivered through new releases or as patches on top of the latest version. HP recommends to use
the latest version available.
5.2 VSP firmware requirements
HP strongly recommends that the VSP be installed and kept up-to-date with latest firmware revisions
available for the platform being used.
Firmware bundle 2011.05 is the minimum requirement for HP-UX vPars and Integrity VM V6.x. In
addition, for Superdome 2 servers, Superdome 2 Dynamic Core Firmware (2.51.102) is required.
