Ensure that the VSP has sufficient free memory, after all these overheads, for all guests that
are expected to be operating from it.
• I/O Adapters
I/O adapters must be installed on the VSP to satisfy I/O requirements of all vPars and Integrity
VMs which are expected to be operating from it. For more information about the I/O adapters
supported with HP-UX vPars and Integrity VM V6.3, see Section 5.6.3.2 (page 37).

2.3 Software requirements for the VSP
For new installations of HP-UX vPars and Integrity VM V6.3, HP recommends that the VSP be
installed with HP-UX 11i v3, March 2014 (AR1403). Requirements for installing and running HP-UX
11i v3, AR1403 may be found in HP-UX product documentation. For more information about
product documentation, see Section 6.2 (page 48).
When upgrading from earlier versions of HP-UX vPars and Integrity VM V6.3, the following software
must be installed on the VSP:
• HP-UX 11i v3 March 2014 (AR1403)
OR
HP-UX 11i v3 March 2013 (AR1303) release and AR1403 Feature11i patches
• PHCO_43755 - MS-CRA patch
• PHCO_43715 - olrad patch
• PHKL_43607 - esctl cummulative patch
• For NPIV support on:
Qlogic FC cards, the FCD driver version on the VSP must be March 2014 or later.◦
◦ Emulex FC cards, the FCLP driver version on the VSP must be October 2013
(B.11.31.1310) or later.
◦ Emulex CNA cards, the FCOC driver version on the VSP must be October 2013
(B.11.31.1310) or later.
2.4 Platform and OS support for vPars and Integrity VM guests
For platform and OS support information for vPars and Integrity VM guests, see Section 5.3
(page 30).
2.5 Software requirements for vPars and Integrity VM guests
To use new functionality in HP-UX vPars and Integrity VM V6.3, all guests must be upgraded with
the guest kit for V6.3.
2.6 Product identification
HP-UX vPars and Integrity VM V6.3 (as well as related products) on a VSP, may be identified as
follows:
