Step 1:
Upgrade the OE on the VSP but skip the vPars and Integrity VM bundles VirtualBase and BB068AA. To do so, use the
following command (use “!” to skip the bundles):
# update-ux -s /dev/dvd !BB068AA !VirtualBase
Step 2:
After successful OE upgrade, the BB068AA and VirtualBase bundles will not be installed. To verify, use the swlist command.
# swlist | grep –e BB068AA –e VirtualBase
Step 3:
Install the vPars and Integrity VM bundles (VirtualBase and BB068AA) bundles using the option allow_downdate=true.
# swinstall -x autoreboot=true –x allow_downdate=true -s /dev/dvd VirtualBase BB068AA
Step 4:
Verify the installation by running swverify commands.
# swverify BB068AA VirtualBase
Please ensure that swverify doesn’t report any errors.
Step 5:
Verify the contents of BB068AA and VirtualBase.
Post V6.1 upgrade, the swlist output should be:
# swlist BB068AA
