Application Cluster Services (ACS) subsystem
An infrastructure used by transaction-processing middleware products to manage and
access server classes.
ACS domain
A defined set of objects (resources) within a single physical NonStop system that are
controlled and managed as a unit by the ACS subsystem.
ACSCTL
The ACS control file is the persistent store of environment configuration data.
C
client
A process running on in a NonStop kernel environment that uses the Pathsend API to
communicate with a server class. See also requester.
configuration subscriber process
A process in the ACS subsystem that receives configuration information and makes it
available to the other ACS subsystem processes.
D
domain coordinator process
The ACS subsystem manager process that coordinates and manages the resources
configured for the subsystem.

EMS
The Event Management Service is part of the Distributed Systems Management (DSM)
