B Operations and Management Using OSM Applications
OSM server-based components are incorporated in a single OSM server-based SPR, T0682 (OSM
Service Connection Suite), that is installed on Integrity NonStop NS16000 series servers running
the HP NonStop operating system. For information on how to install, configure and start OSM
server-based processes and components, see the OSM Migration and Configuration Guide.
OSM client-based components are installed on new system console shipments and upgrades can
be installed through the NonStop System Management Tools installer on the HP NonStop System
Console Installer DVD. This DVD also delivers all other client software required for managing and
servicing NonStop NS16000 series servers. For installation instructions, see the NonStop System
Console Installer Guide.

NOTE: HP Insight Remote Support Advanced is the go-forward remote support solution for
NonStop servers. It works in conjunction with OSM server software, but replaces OSM Notification
Director in both modem-based and HP Instant Support Enterprise Edition (ISEE) remote support
solutions. For more information on Insight Remote Support Advanced, please refer to Insight Remote
Support Advanced for NonStop located in the Service Information collection of NTL.
The OSM Notification Director is not required if Insight Remote Support Advanced is used as the
remote support solution. For more information, refer to the Insight Remote Support Advanced for
