NonStop NS16000 Series Planning Guide (H06.11+)
Telco CLIM Ethernet Interfaces
The Telco CLIM Ethernet interfaces are five Ethernet copper ports identical to the IP CLIM option 1
configuration.
For illustrations showing the Ethernet interfaces and ServerNet fabric connections on DL385 G2
or G5 and DL380 G6 Telco CLIMs, see “Telco CLuster I/O Module (CLIM)” (page 119).
All CLIMs use the Cluster I/O Protocols (CIP) subsystem. For more information about the CIP
subsystem, refer to the Cluster I/O Protocols (CIP) Configuration and Management Manual.
Gigabit Ethernet 4-Port ServerNet Adapter (G4SA) Ethernet Ports
The G4SA provides Gigabit connectivity between Integrity NonStop NS16000 series systems and
Ethernet LANs. The G4SA is an end node on the ServerNet and uses either fiber-optic or copper
cable for connectivity to user application LANs, as well as for the dedicated service LAN. For more
information on the G4SA, see “Gigabit Ethernet 4-Port ServerNet Adapter” (page 129) or the Gigabit
4-Port ServerNet Adapter Installation and Support Guide.
