Note: With Insight RS 7.0.8, data collection is now supported. Prior versions provide discovery,
registration, and event monitoring.
The following components are not supported by Insight RS:
 JBODs (D6000)
o Although the D6000 JBOD device is not recognized as an endpoint by Insight
Remote Support 7.x, monitoring of events such as hard disk drive, fan or power
supply failures reported by the Smart Array controller is supported.
 Mellanox FDR 36P InfiniBand Switches
o InfiniBand switches are not supported.
Installing Insight RS on HP CS300 for Microsoft Analytics Platform (previously called HP
AppSystem for PDW)
 As part of the initial HP CS300 for Microsoft Analytics Platform deployment, HP will install
Insight RS at the time of the system deployment, if it has been included in the
deployment planning.
Note: For deployment of Insight RS after the initial system deployment, HP recommends
that HP TS implements Insight RS. Please contact your sales representative to
initiate this activity. Insight RS 7.0.9 or later is recommended to be installed on the
Windows Server 2008 R2 “Landing Zone” server of the appliance, or on a customer
provided system.
2. HP SAP HANA Offerings
The following section covers the various SAP HANA HP programs including:
 ConvergedSystem CS500 for SAP HANA – Single node and Scale out – Introduced in
March 2014
 AppSystem for SAP HANA – Including Single node and Scale Out (v1.1 and v1.2)
HP ConvergedSystem CS500 for SAP HANA
The HP CS500 for SAP HANA family includes:
 Single Node (also known as Scale Up)
o The single node family includes a choice of four different configurations (256MB,
512MB, 1TB, 2TB).
o All are DL580-based and the 1TB/2TB include D2700 disk enclosure.
o Single Node Disaster Tolerant configurations with Serviceguard are based on
CS500 single node offerings with additional hardware and Serviceguard
software. These configurations have not been certified for Insight RS.
 Scale Out – A scale out configuration includes HP ProLiant DL580s, storage, and
switches.
