Cannot log on to the Insight RS Console as an Administrator
You are using a domain user account and this account is a member of a domain group which in turn is a member of the
domain Administrators group. Additionally, User Account Control (UAC) is turned on. For example:
You cannot log on to the Insight RS Console with user MYDOMAIN\myusername and,
MYDOMAIN\myusername is a member of the group MYDOMAIN\specialusers.
MYDOMAIN\specialusers has been added to the MYDOMAIN\Administrators group.
User Account Control (UAC) is turned on.
Suggested action:
To work around this issue, any of the following actions enable you to log on as an
Administrator:
Turn off User Account Control (UAC) on the Hosting Device
Add your user account to a local Administrators group on the Hosting Device. For example,
add MYDOMAIN\myusername to the local HostingDevice\Administrators
group
Add your user account directly to the domain Administrators group. For example, add
MYDOMAIN\myusername to the MYDOMAIN\Administrators group directly.
Create a new local Administrators account and use that to log on to the Hosting Device. For
example, create an Administrative account named HostingDevice\AdminAccount
and log on with that.
StoreVirtual Storage service events not forwarded to HP
Some HP StoreVirtual Storage customers have experienced an issue where service events with large attachment files are
not being forwarded to HP.
To resolve this issue, log on to the Hosting Device with Administrator privileges and open a command window. Execute the
following command to increase the heap space:
rsadmin config -set hprsintegration.launch.arg0=-Xmx512m
After executing this command, restart Insight Remote Support service, either through the service window (Start >
Administrative Settings > Service), or by typing the following in the command window:
net stop hprsmain
net start hprsmain
Executing the command and restarting the service allocates more memory so Insight RS can continue to submit service
events to HP.
