Support 7.x, please contact your HP Account Support team to setup the customization for your delivery.
HP Storage
This release supports monitoring support for the following storage products. Please see the table in Appendix B for the
appropriate providers to be installed and configured by hardware type.
HP P6000 Enterprise Virtual Array Systems
Ensure that the Event Log Monitoring Collector (ELMC) is installed on all servers, where HP P6000 Command View is
installed. This software depot is made available to you through the embedded Software Updates software feature and
needs to be manually installed on your Storage Management Server. This does not apply to EVAs using the Array Based
Management (ABM) module. See Appendix C for details on ELMC.

For all P6000/EVA devices the minimum requirement is HP P6000 Command View 9.4 or higher.

Also you have the choice to configure HP P6000 Command View, the Hosting Device and the Storage Management Server
(SMS) in different ways including the option to install all components on the same server. For details and restrictions, see
the P6000 and Enterprise Virtual Array Configuration chapter in the HP Insight Remote Support Monitored Devices
Configuration Guide available at www.hp.com/go/insightremotesupport/docs for the various options.
HP StoreVirtual Storage (formerly P4000 SAN Solutions/LeftHand Storage)
HP StoreVirtual Storage is the new name for HP LeftHand Storage and HP P4000 SAN solutions. LeftHand Operating System
(LeftHand OS) is the new name for SAN/iQ. These name changes will be incorporated into documentation, solution materials
and product components.
SNMP needs to be configured and enabled for each Storage Node to be able to send events to the Hosting Device. SNMP is
enabled by default in HP LeftHand OS (formerly SAN/iQ) and should not be modified.
Each Storage Node counts as 30 monitored devices within HP Insight Remote Support. Ensure that you allocate enough disk
space for HP StoreVirtual (P4000) collections. The required disk space is dependent on the number of HP StoreVirtual
Storage Nodes. See the Configuration Collection capabilities section above for calculating the required disk space.
