Linux support

A compatibility support matrix for Linux operating systems on HP ProLiant servers can be found at

 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x (AMD64, EM64T, x86)

 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x (AMD64, EM64T, x86)

 SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (AMD64, EM64T, x86)

Important

Linux operating systems requires the appropriate SNMP Providers to be installed and configured. WBEM Providers are not

supported.

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications is based on the latest proven version of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11

Service Pack 2 and inherits all software and hardware certifications.

Important

VMware ESXi Lockdown Mode and ESXi Stateless reboot mode are supported. If VMware ESXi stateless reboot mode is

used, then monitoring subscriptions are not retained and although the Hosting Device will recover, it may take up to one day

during which the server will not be monitored. Refer to the Online Help for how to manually refresh subscriptions to make

sure your devices are monitored after a stateless reboot.

Important

Insight RS supports ESXi hosts in lockdown mode when they are managed by vCenter in a cluster configuration. Standalone

ESXi hosts managed by vCenter are not supported.

Important

Support for Hyper-V is limited to the full server version only and is not available for the core version as much of the required

software is unavailable for this version.
