VMware vSphere
capability support
 Support is provided for the following VMware vSphere capabilities when the Hosting Device is
installed in a VMware Windows virtual machine:
– VMware vSphere vMotion when the Hosting Device is moved to another server in the same
cluster
– VMware vSphere Fault Tolerance to provide the hardware resilience of two servers running in
parallel
Web Browser support
 Microsoft Internet Explorer, versions 9.x and 10.x
 Mozilla Firefox, versions 17.x and 18.x
 Google Chrome, versions 18.x
Integration Adapters
 New SNMP Service Event Adapter to forward an SNMP trap to another management application
or ticketing system on an event being sent to HP
 New Dynamic Processor Resilience Adapter specific for HP Integrity servers using HP OpenVMS
to run a processor indictment service and event notification to HP
New Product support
The HP Insight Remote Support 7.0.8 release supports the following new products for monitored devices in addition to all of
those previously added in Insight RS 7.0.5 including all of the Content Level Updates.

Note, with this release HP Command View for Tape Libraries software version 3.1 or less is no
longer supported.

Switches configured to use the HP proprietary Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) technology or switch stacking capabilities are currently not supported. HP
Insight RS only supports standalone mode for these switches.
