HP Insight Remote Support 7.0.8 Release Notes

HP ComWare-based Switches (formerly A-Series or H3C/3Com)

HP ComWare-based (formerly known as A-Series or H3C/3Com) networking switches require SNMP for discovery and

remote monitoring. Ensure that public community credentials are configured for these devices to communicate with the

Hosting Device.

For configuration collections, please ensure that either TELNET or SSH service is enabled. TELNET is enabled on HP

ComWare-based Switches by default. If you prefer to use SSH, you will need to enable it. For instructions, see the HP Insight

Remote Support Monitored Devices Configuration Guide available at www.hp.com/go/insightremotesupport/docs.

Important

Switches configured to use the HP proprietary Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) technology or switch stacking

capabilities are currently not supported. HP Insight RS only supports standalone mode for these switches.
