SNMP v1 or v2 needs to be configured and enabled for HP Storage Switches to be able to send events to the Hosting Device.

Test trap support for HP B-series Fibre Channel switches requires the installation if Fabric Operating system v6.3.0b
firmware or higher. See the HP Fabric OS 6.3.0b Customer Advisory or details.
 C-series Fibre Channel Switches (Cisco MDS Fibre Channel Switches, including support for Cisco NX-OS version 5.x.)
 H-series Fibre Channel Switches including

Note
Older 1GB Brocade switches (1 GB) and M-Class Switches are not supported.
HP Virtual Library Systems
SNMP needs to be configured in Command View for Virtual Library System (VLS) to send traps to the Hosting Device. For
setup instructions, see the HP Insight Remote Support Monitored Devices Configuration Guide available at
www.hp.com/go/insightremotesupport/docs.
Note
Configuration collections are currently not supported, except when the VLS is part of a SAN collection. See Appendix B for
details.
