HP Insight Remote Support 7.0.8 Release Notes

Important

For all P6000/EVA devices the minimum requirement is HP P6000 Command View 9.4 or higher.

For specific requirements concerning HP P6000 Command View, see the HP P6000 Enterprise Virtual Array Compatibility

1. Under All HP products, click Storage → Storage Software → Storage Device Management Software → HP EVA P6000

Device Management Software → HP P6000 Command View Software.

2. Click HP Command View Software.

3. Under General Reference, click HP P6000 Enterprise Virtual Array Compatibility Reference.

The following HP P6000/ Enterprise Virtual Array Systems are supported with this release:

 EVA3000/5000

 EVA 4000/6000/8000 and EVA 4100/6100/8100

 EVA 4400

 EVA 6400/8400

 HP P6300/6500 EVA

 HP P6350/P6550 EVA

Also you have the choice to configure HP P6000 Command View, the Hosting Device and the Storage Management Server

(SMS) in different ways including the option to install all components on the same server. For details and restrictions, see

HP StoreVirtual Storage (formerly P4000 SAN Solutions/LeftHand Storage)

HP StoreVirtual Storage is the new name for HP LeftHand Storage and HP P4000 SAN solutions. LeftHand Operating System

(LeftHand OS) is the new name for SAN/iQ. These name changes will be incorporated into documentation, solution materials

and product components.

SNMP needs to be configured and enabled for each Storage Node to be able to send events to the Hosting Device. SNMP is

enabled by default in HP LeftHand OS (formerly SAN/iQ) and should not be modified.

Each Storage Node counts as 30 monitored devices within HP Insight Remote Support. Ensure that you allocate enough disk

space for HP StoreVirtual (P4000) collections. The required disk space is dependent on the number of HP StoreVirtual

Storage Nodes. See the Configuration Collection capabilities section above for calculating the required disk space.
