step 1b, complete the following steps:
a. Set the Get Community Name field in the SNMPv1/v2 section to the same value as the
administrator password.
Important: For printers configured using SNMPv1/v2 read-write access, it is
imperative that the same value be used in the Set Community Name and Get
Community Name fields when not using the default community name value of "public".
b. Select the Disable SNMPv1/v2 default Get Community Name of "public" check box.
4. Click Apply.
Configure SNMPv3 on the Printer
To configure SNMPv3 on the printer, HP Web Jetadmin, or a program with similar functionality, must be
used. After the SNMPv3 settings have been applied using Web Jetadmin, complete the following steps:
1. In the printer's embedded web server, browse to the Networking → Network Settings → SNMP tab.
The Network Settings screen appears.
