Completing Post-Installation Configuration
Tasks
This chapter guides you through optional configuration tasks you may want to perform after installing
Insight RS. Perform these tasks after the Hosting Device Setup Wizard device discovery is complete.
Install the HP Insight Remote Support Content Level
Update
HP Insight RS 7.0.8 or later includes a feature called Content Level Update (CLU) that enables the
installation of new product support and new intelligent analysis rules through the Version Control screen in
the Insight RS Console. CLUs include new discovery, analysis, and collection rules to expand product
coverage for Insight RS. CLUs provide additional content to the current Insight RS release and are always
incorporated into following releases. The latest CLUversion is 7.0.8.1.

Important: CLUs cannot be rolled back or uninstalled.
If your Auto Update Level is set to Automatically Download and Install, the CLU and patch will be
installed automatically. If your Auto Update Level is set to Manually Apply or Automatically Download,
you must manually install the CLU.
To manually install the Insight Remote Support CLU, complete the following steps:
1. In the Main Menu, select Administrator Settings.
2. Click the Version Control tab.
3. Click Check For New Update.
4. Click the HP Insight Remote Support Content Level Update link in the table.
5. Click the Available Version tab in the lower pane.
6. Click Install. The CLU downloads and installs onto the Hosting Device.
