NOTE: OSM requires that a supported version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) be installed
on the console. Upon logging on to the OSM Service Connection, you will be prompted to download
and install JRE if OSM does not detect an appropriate version on the console.
It is recommended that the Java Auto-Update feature be turned off on all JRE installations on the
CMS. Updates may be done to ensure that security patches are installed, but they should be done
as a planned upgrade and not part of an automatic, uncontrolled installation. All versions of Java
6 are supported.
NonStop System Hardware Requirements
HP SIM and Insight Remote Support Advanced support HP Integrity NonStop BladeSystems, NonStop
NS-series systems, and NonStop S-series systems.
The following ports must be open on all NonStop systems that are to be monitored by HP SIM and
Insight Remote Support Advanced.

NonStop System Software Requirements

SIM and Insight Remote Support Advanced.

Console Configuration Examples
The first example (below) illustrates the recommended configuration of running Insight Remote
Support Advanced from a pair of Central Management Servers (CMSs) rather than from the NonStop
system consoles. Connectivity is shown only for the primary CMS and NSC, but the same connectivity
is recommended for a backup CMS and NSC to provide fault tolerance.
