The second part of configuring the Solution Manager involves completing the settings in the Solution
Manager.

5-2-6 Test the connection
To test the connection from HP Insight RSA to Solution Manager, it is necessary to create a test
incident on one of the configured servers. The creation of test events is described in the CMS setup
documentation.
To test the connection from the Solution Manager to HP Insight RSA just create and send a
message. This will create a real incident in HP. Therefore please enter a text into the message, for
example “This is a test event for the SAP Solution Manager connection”. Please close the incident
as no further action is required.
