5-2-3 Configuring the SolMan Connection
Open the HP System Insight Manager portal on the CMS – https://localhost:50000/mxprtal/home/
1. Click on the Options drop-down menu in the top row.
2. Select Remote Support Configuration and Services
3. Select the MVAA configuration tab (Multi-Vendor and Application Adapter configuration).
4. Tick the Enable Management Platform Synchronization check-box.
5. Select SAP Solution Manager Service Desk from the Management Platform drop-down
menu.
6. Select the communication security level.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that this level is also enabled in the Solution Manager web service
settings
7. Enter the server name and domain which hosts the Solution Manager you want to connect to
into the System Name field.
8. Enter the port number – the SAP default is 8000.
9. Obtain the SAP username, user ID and password for the automated interface users from the
SolMan Service Desk and enter the values in their corresponding fields.
