5-2 Installing the SolMan integration
5-2-1 Overview
The installation consists of the following steps
1. Verify if all prerequisites are met, if necessary complete the required updates and install all
available patches.(Refer to section 5-1 for further information).
2. Install the Multivendor Application Adapter (if not done already).
3. Configure the connection from the CMS to the server which hosts the Solution Manager in the
Insight RSA configuration User Interface (UI) in HP SIM.
4. Configure the Solution Manager Service Desk http connection.
5. Configure the devices relevant for SAP in the Insight RSA UI in HP SIM.
6. Configure the specific settings for Solution Manager Service Desk for events received from
Insight RSA and sent to Insight RSA.
7. Complete the Solution Manager configuration to enable the “remote service desk” which is
the connection to Insight RSA.
8. Perform tests and start operation.
5-2-2 Configuring the Solution Manager Part One
The installation and configuration of a HP Insight RSA to SAP SolMan connection is a similar
configuration to a SolMan to SolMan connection. To learn more about this, please view the SAP

1. At first it is necessary to define
Web Service User Name
Web Service User Name SAP business partner ID
Web Service User Name - password
Web Service Incident Subject/Category define which subject/category should be used to
indicate those incidents which are created through the synchronization interface. The
category could be an existing one or you can create a new one. The category is the only
code which can filter all the interface-created incidents in SolMan SD.
It is necessary to provide the SAP Category key, not the name of the category. Please refer
to Appendix A to find out how to configure the Solution Manager to show these keys
2. Take a list of SAP related servers and define which SAP System on each server is the most
important.
Note the following:
Full server system name and
the SID and
the SAP business partner id of the main contact person for this SID
The SAP Installation Number (10 digit number)
SAP System Client (3 digit number)
