3 Installing and Configuring MPS

This chapter describes the procedures for installing, configuring and verifying installation of the MPS

software on the CMS.

A summary of the installation process for MPS can be described in two steps

1. Install the Multivendor and Application Adapter (MVAA) with the Remote Support Software

Manager (RSSWM) on the CMS (Refer to section 3-1 )

2. Configure OVO with MVAA (Refer to section )

3-1 Using the RSSWM and the Installer

To use the RSSWM and the Installer:

1. Log on to Central Management Server with administrator rights.

2. Click on the Remote Support Software Manager icon.

3. Wait for the RSSWM to read the installed packages.

4. Scroll down the packages list and look for the compulsory packages which are not installed.

NOTE: All compulsory packages have to be installed before the Multi-Vendor and Application

Adapter installation can start.

5. After all required packages have been installed, click Install on the Multi-Vendor and

Application Adapter row. Allow several minutes for the installer to complete installation.
