2 MPS Installation Prerequisites

This chapter describes the hardware and software requirements for MPS.

The customer should already have a CMS with the HP Insight Remote Support Advanced A.05.40

(or higher) installed. Open Service Event Manager (OSEM) Version v1.4.7 or later or Web-Based

Enterprise Services (WEBES) v5.5 or later should be installed on the CMS, as MPS uses their

entitlement technology.

NOTE: Using MPS for incident synchronization between HP Insight Remote Support Advanced

and HP Operations Manager requires a valid HP Support contract and a valid OVO support

contract with HP.

MPS requires

 HP Operations Manager for HP-UX version A.08.30 or later

○ With HP Operations Manager Incident Web Service

 HP Operations Manager for Windows version 8.x or later.

NOTE: HP Operations Manager Incident Web service is included in HP Operations Manager for

Windows.

On the CMS the Multi-Vendor and Application Adapter (MVAA) component must be installed.
