Removing the Remote Support Software
Manager
The Remote Support Software Manager (RSSWM) has its own uninstall software. Use the
following procedure to uninstall RSSWM:
1. Select the uninstall script at Start → All Programs → Hewlett-Packard → Remote Support
Software Manager → Uninstall Remote Support Software Manager.
2. When prompted, select the No button to remove only RSSWM. Select the Yes button if you
want to remove both RSSWM and Insight Remote Support Advanced.
3. A window appears showing the progress of the uninstall. If you selected Yes, then Insight
Remote Support Advanced is uninstalled first. When the uninstall is complete, click the Finish
button.
Note: When the uninstall completes, a message appears requesting you reboot your
computer to remove RSSWMcompletely. No reboot is necessary, and this message can
be safely ignored.
Reinstalling the Remote Support Software
Manager
In the event that there is an application failure, the Remote Support Software Manager (RSSWM)
cannot be recovered. The RSSWM application must be reinstalled by rerunning the product
installer.
