RSSWM Package Update Policy Window
4. In the Package Update Policy section, select an Update Policy:
n Use Global Update Policy setting – Package updates will use the Global Update Policy
setting. This is the RSSWM default for all packages.
n Automatic on-line updates – Package updates will be downloaded and installed
automatically. The download of the package update will occur automatically according to
the synchronization schedule, even if no one is logged into the system. You will not be
prompted for download or install of packages.
n Manual on-line updates – Package updates will be downloaded automatically, but
installations must be done manually.
5. After making your selection, click the Submit button. The Form Submission window is
displayed, confirming the details of the Global Update Policy that you selected.

Modifying the Administrator Credentials
Administrator Credentials settings enable Remote Support Software Manager (RSSWM) to perform
automatic updates. If the update policy for one or more packages is set to Automatic on-line
updates, it is necessary to set the Administrator Credentials.
These settings correspond to the HP RSSWM-SIM Context Service Windows Service.
To modify the Administrator Credentials:
1. Start RSSWM by clicking Start → All Programs → Hewlett-Packard → Remote Support
Software Manager → Remote Support Software Manager User Interface.
2. In RSSWM, select Options → Credentials. The Credentials window appears.
