Checking Contract and Warranty Support
Levels for Added Managed Systems
This section is a series of validation steps to verify that your managed systems, configured for
Remote Support, are currently communicating the correct Entitlement information to the HP
Support Center.
This section, and the Contract and Warranty task described within, cover a functionality of HP SIM
that allows you to check the entitlement status of any system in your enterprise against HP's
current entitlement information for your own informational, reporting, and planning business
purposes. This is different from the Remote Support Entitlement Check explained in "Running a
Remote Support Entitlement Check" on page 25, in that the Remote Support Entitlement Check
(RSEC) functionality validates that events submitted by an eligible system will pass entitlement
and be monitored by the HP Support Center for support purposes only.
1. In the HP SIM User Interface, from the upper horizontal menu, select Tasks & Logs View
All Scheduled Tasks.
2. In the All Scheduled Tasks window, select the Monthly Contract and Warranty
Collection.
