(as appropriate) to the automatically generated Server Configuration Collection and Storage
Configuration Collection in HP SIM.
To collect configuration information from devices in a SAN, an HP SIM system collection must be
manually created and devices added to it to reflect the devices in the physical SAN. To create an HP SIM
system collection for SAN devices and add devices to it, do the following:
1. Create a new SAN Configuration Collection by clicking the Customize link located in the HP SIM left
panel. The Customize Collections page will be displayed. You can also view this tool through the
following menu:Tools →Custom Tools →Manage RSSANs.
2. In the Customize Collections page, on the right-hand side, click New.
Three option buttons are displayed at the bottom of the page.
3. Select the Choose members individually option and select a SIM system collection (from which
you will select devices and add them to your new SAN Configuration Collection) from the Choose
from drop-down list.
