Chapter 5: Remote Support Configuration Collector Services
l Components tab
In this tab you manage Commands and Rules versions for the configuration collections that are run
against each HP-UX managed system. This page provides version details for the latest available
configuration collection agent software available from HP and the version of the Advanced
Configuration Collector on each HP-UX managed system.
l Storage Services tab
In this page you must configure connection protocols and account access settings for individual
storage devices associated with HP SIM systems collections listed under the Storage Configuration
Collection and P4000 Family Configuration Collection entries in the left menu of HP SIM. You will
pre-configure protocol and account access settings that are applied to multiple devices in the
configuration collection.
l Network Services tab
In this page you must configure connection protocols and account access settings for individual
network devices associated with HP SIM systems collections listed under the Network
Configuration Collection entry in the left menu of HP SIM. You will pre-configure protocol and
account access settings that are applied to devices in the configuration collection.
Viewing and Configuring RSCC Data Services
Settings
In the Data Services tab you view Remote Support Configuration Collector (RSCC) tasks and configure
their settings for HP SIM system collections by directly accessing the Insight Remote Support
Services entry in the left menu of HP SIM. This section describes viewing and configuring settings for
RSCC server-related tasks, and the instructions equally apply to storage and SAN device related RSCC
tasks.
