Chapter 4: Configuring Information for Managed Systems
Note: Insight Remote Support Advanced uses the contact information defined in the System
Properties for the submission of events. This contact information is required for events to be sent to
HP. If Insight Remote Support Advanced does not receive the contact information, it may return No
Contact when trying to submit the event.
It is recommended that you keep a written record of your collection configuration information for future
reference.
1. Log on to HP SIM on the CMS.
2. Select Options System Properties Set System Properties.
A separate Web browser window launches. Depending on what system information HP SIM has
cached, you will see one of the following two displays.
Example 4.1. Set System Properties when Step 1 displays as: Verify Target Systems
Example 4.2. Set System Properties when Step 1 displays as: Select Target Systems
3. If Example 4.1 is displayed, click Add Targets and proceed to the next step. If Example 4.2 is
displayed, skip to the next step.
4. Select the Collection option.
5. Scroll through the drop-down list and choose the collection containing the systems you want to
configure.
