Chapter 2: Installing Insight Remote Support Advanced on the Central Management Server
a. In the Check for Package Updates section, click Check. When it completes, click Return.
b. In the Synchronize with HPī€ƒNow section, click Synchronize. This begins the installation of
packages. The A.05.80 software packages have Automatic update policy, so they will be
installed in the background.
Note:
n Installation of the packages may take up to one hour to complete. This time can be longer
depending on your network speed.
n Some command windows will open and close, indicating the software installers are running.
n The packages listed in RSSWM can be updated by clicking Packages in the left menu.
n The log file for the package updates can be found in the following folder:ī€ƒC:\Program
Files\HP\RSSWM\Logs\SwmWebClient.log.
11. After the installation of the packages completes, verify all of the A.05.80 packages are installed.
a. In the left menu, click Packages.
b. Verify the following software packages have been updated to their new versions:

Advanced Configuration Collector depot for HP-UX 11i servers: A.05.80.04.004
o
HP Remote Support Client: A.05.80.04
o
Remote Support Common Components (MC3): A.05.80.01
o
HP Remote Support Configuration Collector (RSCC): 05.80.04.006
o
HP Remote Support Configuration Collector Extension (RSCCE): A.05.80.00
o
Remote Support Eligible Systems List: A.05.80.01
o
Remote Support Network Componentī€ƒ(RSNC): A.05.80.00
o
Web-Based Enterprise Services (WEBES): 6.4
Installing Insight Remote Support Advanced for
the First Time
Complete the following procedure to download and install Insight Remote Support Advanced on the CMS:
Caution: Install Insight Remote Support Advanced as a system administrator or as a member of the
local administrator group. Do not install as a domain administrator. This is not a supported account to
use for installation.
Important: A screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768 is necessary during installation, otherwise some
install windows will be truncated and necessary user input buttons will not be visible.
Important: The Insight Remote Support Advanced installation will fail if the SMH and HP SIM
