CMS System Requirements
While Insight Remote Support Advanced is an HP Systems Insight Manager (HP SIM) plug-in and is
hosted on the same Central Management Server (CMS) as HP SIM, Insight Remote Support Advanced
has additional CMS requirements beyond those set by HP SIM.
HP strongly recommends that the CMS be covered by either warranty, HP Care Pack, or HP support
contract obligation because the CMS is a critical component of HP Insight Remote Support Advanced.
Important: Please ensure the system date is set correctly on the CMS. Failure to do so may lead to
problems with certificate exchange and/or connection issues within Insight Remote Support
Advanced.
CMS Hardware Requirements
l Any HP ProLiant x86 system with Insight Management Agent or WBEM Provider support
l Any HP ProLiant x64 system with Insight Management Agent or WBEM Provider support
Refer to the Insight Remote Support Advanced Release Notes for more details of Insight Management
Agent or WBEM Provider support.
Important: Insight Remote Support Advanced now supports the CMS hosted on select Virtual
systems. See the Insight Remote Support Advanced Release Notes available at
http://www.hp.com/go/insightremoteadvanced-docs for details about which VMware is supported. If
you use VMware for your CMS, you must reconfigure it as directed in "Entitling the CMS" on page 46,
for the VMware to be recognized by HP.
HP ProLiant 1xx Series servers and HP Netservers are not supported for a CMS hosting Insight
Remote Support Advanced. For more information about why these hardware systems are not
supported please see the Insight Remote Support Advanced Release Notes available at
