Removing the Remote Support Software
Manager
The Remote Support Software Manager (RSSWM) has its own uninstall software. Use the following
procedure to uninstall RSSWM:
1. Select the uninstall script at Start → All Programs → Hewlett-Packard → Remote Support
Software Manager → Uninstall Remote Support Software Manager.
2. When prompted, select the No button to remove only RSSWM. Select the Yes button if you want to
remove both RSSWM and Insight Remote Support Advanced.
3. A window will appear that shows the progress of the uninstall. When the uninstall is complete, click
the Finish button, and then reboot your computer.
Reinstalling the Remote Support Software
Manager
In the event that there is an application failure, the Remote Support Software Manager (RSSWM) cannot
be recovered. The RSSWM application must be reinstalled by rerunning the product installer.
