NOTE: A compatibility support matrix for virtualized operating systems on HP ProLiant servers

running Microsoft Windows 2008 Hyper-V can be found at:

Support for Hyper-V is limited to the full server version only and is not available for the core

version as much of the required software is unavailable for this version.

Other supported operating systems:

 SCO UnixWare 7

 Novell NetWare 5.0, 6.0 and 6.5

 Oracle Solaris 10

IMPORTANT: Oracle Solaris 10 is only supported on specific ProLiant servers. For more details

on certified ProLiant servers for Oracle Solaris, visit www.hp.com/go/solariscerts.

NOTE: Oracle Solaris operating system support only supports SNMP protocol to communicate

error states to the Central Management Server.

NOTE: HP strongly recommends installing the HP ProLiant Solaris Support Bundle v8.21 or higher

rather than installing the HP ProLiant Insight Management Agents for Solaris 10 alone as it

contains additional recommended component updates.

If it is possible to purchase an HP support contract on the underlying server hardware, the following

additional operating systems are supported as Managed Systems only for the purpose of monitoring that

hardware. Additionally, they must have the correct Insight Management agent installed and SNMP

prerequisites configured:
