B.2 Removing Remote Support for Systems No Longer Managed by HP
SIM
If you have removed one or more systems from the HP SIM All Systems list, but it still shows up in the
Remote Support System List on the Entitlement tab in the Remote Support Configuration and
Services area in HP SIM (available through the Options menu), this is because HP SIM runs a daily task
that would remove the system(s) from the Remote Suppor t System List, but it likely has not run yet. Check
it again in 24 hours to verify that the removal task has executed.
B.3 Uninstalling Insight Remote Support Advanced Components from
Managed Systems
This section describes how to remove Insight Remote Support Advanced components from your managed
systems, depending on the operating system involved.
B.3.1 Uninstalling ELMC from OpenVMS Managed Systems
To install or uninstall ELMC, the user needs all of the following OpenVMS privileges:
• ALTPRI
• BUGCHK
• BYPASS
• CMKRNL
• DIAGNOSE
• IMPERSONATE
• NETMBX
• OPER
• SYSLCK
• SYSPRV
• TMPMBX
To uninstall ELMC from an OpenVMS system, complete the following steps:
1. Log on to the system with the required privileges.
2. Set your default directory to the one containing the file wccproxy_install.com.
3. At the DCL ($) prompt, run the following command:
$ @wccproxy_install uninstall
