B Removing Insight Remote Support Advanced
Instructions for removing HP Insight Remote Support Advanced and its associated components from the CMS
and managed systems are provided in this appendix. It is not important whether you choose to uninstall
Insight Remote Support Advanced components from the CMS or from the managed systems first.
B.1 Uninstalling Insight Remote Support Advanced Components from the
CMS
The HP Insight Remote Support Advanced components can be removed from the CMS by using the Remote
Support Software Manager (RSSWM) uninstaller. Use the following procedure to uninstall Insight Remote
Support Advanced:
1. Start the uninstall script using one of the following methods:
• For Connected solutions (i.e. you selected A utomatic on-line updates or Manual on-line updates
during installation):
Choose Start → All Programs → Hewlett-Packard → Remote Support Software Manager
→ Uninstall Remote Support Software Manager.
• For Disconnected solutions (i.e. you selected No on-line udpates during installation):
• Windows 2003:
a. Choose Start → Control Panel → Add/Remove Programs.
b. In the Add/Remove Programs dialog, locate the HP Insight Remote Support entry and
click Remove.
• Windows 2008:
a. Choose Start → Control Panel → Programs and Features.
b. In the Programs and Features dialog, locate the HP Insight Remote Support entry and
click Remove.
2. If your Insight Remote Support Advanced install was Connected (i.e. with RSSWM), a message appears
asking if you are sure you want to uninstall Insight Remote Support. Click Yes.

If your Insight Remote Support Advanced install was Disconnected (i.e. without RSSWM), a message
appears asking if you are sure you want to uninstall Insight Remote Support. Click OK.

3. Follow the prompts to proceed with the uninstall.
4. When the uninstall is complete, click Finish, and then reboot your computer.
