A.05.70 HP Insight Remote Support Advanced Operations Guide (October 2011, 5900-1727)
4 Enabling a System Health Check Assessment
System Health Check Assessment (SHCA) reports are an end deliverable of the SHCA proactive service. The
SHCA provides a thorough, broad assessment of the customer’s computing environment by identifying
security, performance and configuration issues before they can impact critical operations. The SHCA report
is enabled when the Insight Remote Support Advanced Configuration Collector (ACC) Server Performance
Collection is run and its data is returned to HP, where the Technology Services Backend Analysis Framework
(BAF) analyzes the data against sets of best practice system management rules, and produces the SHCA
report. Much of the HP-UX Server Performance Collection data is collected from the HP-UX managed server
using the ACC’s Proactive Analysis Client (PAC).
If you are the customer’s HP Account Team member and want to receive SHCA reports, you
must
enable
the HP-UX Server Performance Collection to run on the managed servers. In addition, you
may
adjust key
parameters for the configuration collection, including the duration of the performance portion of the collection,
as well as the Specialist Email address (used to notify the HP account team member of SHCA report
availability).
1. Log on to HP SIM and select the HP-UX system to go to its system page. Click the System Management
Homepage link.
2. In SMH, click the PAC link.
3. Click the Service Details link under the Configuration section of the menu.
