Chapter 2: Installing Insight Remote Support Advanced on the Central Management Server
When the installation is complete, you will see a success message. If you want to view the status of
the Insight Remote Support Advanced components, select the check box. Click Finish.
After you click Finish, HP SIM will automatically open to the Settings tab on the Options → Remote
Support Configuration and Services screen. See "Registering the Remote Support Client and the
CMS" on page 38 for more information about configuring these settings.
Important: After HP SIM 7.0 installation, if you need to install Insight Remote Support Advanced on a
CMS that does not have a previous version of Insight Remote Support Advanced installed, then you
must restart the HP SIM service after the Insight Remote Support Advanced user registration.
To restart the HP SIM service, complete the following procedure:
1. Go to the Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Services.
2. Restart the HP Systems Insight Manager Service under Services.
3. Start a new browser session and log on to HP Systems Insight Manager.
If you selected the check box to view the component status, you will see the screen below. It shows
successfully installed components, components that failed to install, and components that did install but
are available through RSSWM.
