Chapter 2: Installing Insight Remote Support Advanced on the Central Management Server
n Enable email for status and connectivity reporting. Select this option if you want to receive an
email every two weeks summarizing the applications installed on your CMS. You will also receive
email notifications if connectivity to the HP Support Center is lost. If you select this option you will
be asked later in the installation to enter one or more email addresses that will receive status and
connectivity reports.
n Enable email announcements of available software updates. Select this option if you want to
receive emails when new software packages become available. If you select this option you will be
asked later in the installation to enter one or more email addresses that will receive status and
connectivity reports.
Make your selections and click Next. You will see a progress window while updates are applied.
14. Provide your administrator credentials so that RSSWM can install automatic updates that require
credentials.
Important: When installing on a Windows 2008 R2 CMS, the installation will fail if the
administrator password contains a '%' character. Using an administrator password that does not
contain the '%' character allows the installation to complete successfully.
15. Enter proxy, company, and email notification information.
