New, Changed, and Deprecated Features
This section contains important information about new, changed, and deprecated features in
each release of HP WBEM Providers for Linux.
December 2007 Release
New Features The System Firmware Inventory Provider is introduced in this
release.
Changed Features The Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter Provider is updated to
indicate the changes in the reporting of driver and firmware
versions.
Deprecated Features There are no deprecated features in this release.
August 2007 Release
New Features The HP System Inventory and Disk Partition Provider are
introduced in this release.
Changed Features There are no changed features in this release.
Deprecated Features The HP Disk Partition Provider is deprecated and is replaced by
the Disk Partition Provider.
March 2007 Release
New Features The Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter Provider is introduced in
this release.
Changed Features All provider datasheets are updated to indicate support for RHEL5
and SLES10.
Deprecated Features There are no deprecated features in this release.
November 2006 Release
New Features There are no new features in this release.
Changed Features The following features have changed from the previous release of
HP WBEM Providers for Linux:
• The Forward Progress Log Provider is enhanced to include
the HP_FPLIndication class.
• The HP Processor Provider is enhanced to include the
LoadPercentage and SpuId properties in the
HP_Processor class.
• Renamed the HP_ComputerSystem class to the
PG_ComputerSystem in HP Computer System Provider.
• All provider datasheets are updated to indicate the supported
namespaces.
Deprecated Features There are no deprecated features in this release.
