HP Insight Management WBEM Providers 9.2 Release Notes

2 What's new in this release
The following features are supported in the current release of WBEM Providers:
• Supports the display of physical location of the server. A new property, Location is added to
the Server Configuration page.
• Detects if a memory module is equipped with HP Smart Memory capability. A new property,
HP Smart Memory is added to the Memory page.
• Reports Tanzanite II and Ibanez controller licensing information. Information about license
keys and new features is displayed.
Known issues and limitations
This section provides a list of known problems and limitations as known to HP at time of publication.
If workarounds are available, they are included.
• Network connectivity lost during WBEM installation
WBEM Provider installation hangs inconsistently when installed using tools such as the HP
Rapid Deployment software. This issue is caused when WBEM Provider enters a non-operational
mode during installation due to certain memory race conditions.
Severity: High
Corrective Action: Cancel the installation manually and restart the server.
• Updated version for Power Controller not displayed
On HP Proliant server, due to software/key values not available from HP WBEM Providers,
the updated version for Power Controller is not displayed in inventory under System
Management Home Page (SMH)→Home→Version Control→HP Version Control Agent.
Severity: High
Corrective Action: None
• Cooling page has no information of fans for G6 server with ILO2
On HP ProLiant G6 servers with iLO2, fan-related instance and indication information are not
available from HP Insight Management WBEM Providers.
Severity: High
Corrective Action: Change the management source from WBEM to SNMP to obtain fan-related
information.
• Online help search displays incorrectly
In the Japanese online help for Storage, the search results page does not display in the proper
format.
Severity: High
Corrective action: None
• Online help search fails at second attempt
In the Storage online help Search page, when you provide the same keyword or string in the
Search field for the second time, the search fails.
