• The stderr tab—Displays information if the executable experienced an error.
• View Printable Report—Reports can be printed for the currently selected target system or
for all target systems associated with the task instance.
11. (Optional) To print a report:
a. Click View Printable Report.
b. From the Options Message box, select the report to display.
c. Generate a report containing the selected target system or all systems associated with
the task instance.
d. Click OK to display the report, or click Cancel to return to the View Task Results page.
Installing the Insight Providers Smart Component
NOTE: This installation method does not apply for HP ProLiant 100 Series servers.
You can install the Insight Providers individually using an Insight Providers Smart Component.
Perform this type of installation to install the Insight Providers without performing a full PSP installation
or without using SmartStart.
NOTE: You must install PSP 8.60 (or later) before or with Insight Providers 2.8.0. For ProLiant
100 Series G6 servers, you must install the Easy Set-up CD components.
To install the Insight Providers Smart Component:
1. Verify that the target servers are on the supported hardware list. See (page 33).
2. Verify that the target server has a supported operating system installed. See (page 32).
3. Log in as an administrator on the target server.
4. Install the Insight Providers Smart Component:
• For 32-bit Windows® environments, execute the cp013840.exe Smart Component by
double-clicking the file or by invoking it in a script.
• For x64 64-bit Windows® environments, execute the cp013839.exe Smart Component
by double-clicking the file or by invoking it in a script.
To uninstall the Insight Providers, use Add or Remove Programs for Windows Server® 2003 or
Programs and Features for Windows Server® 2008.
Verifying HP Insight Providers Installation using HP WBEM Tools
HP WBEM tools are installed on the system during HP WBEM providers installation. These tools
check the health state of HP WBEM provider installation and ensure that the communication channel
with Microsoft Windows Management Instrumentation has no issues. Following HP WBEM tools
are installed on the system:
• HP WBEM Test Event Tool
• HP WBEM Dump Tool
• HP SUM Software Discovery
• enableRWMI.exe
