Each alert indication from the \root\HPQ namespace conforming to the query “SELECT * FROM HP_AlertIndication” will be logged to the Windows System Event Log. Each threshold indication from the \root\HPQ namespace conforming to the query “SELECT * FROM HP_ThresholdIndication” will also be logged to the Windows System Event Log.
3 Related Documents The purpose of this document is to show all indications and the associated event log messages that would be logged to the Windows System Event Log. The document titled “HP Insight Management WBEM Provider Data Sheet” will document all indications and list the properties delivered by each indication.
4 Indication to Eventlog Mapping The CIM_AlertIndication.EventID and CIM_AlertIndication.ProviderName properties are unique for each type of alert indication within the system. The EventID and ProviderName properties are used to map to specific messages logged to the Windows System Event Log. The same applies for the CIM_ThresholdIndication.EventID and CIM_ThresholdIndication.ProviderName.
