This chapter lists what is new for the HP Version Control Agent and HP Version Control Repository
Manager releases.
Following are the product enhancements for the HP Version Control 6.3.0 April 2011 release:
HP Version Control Agent (VCA) adds the following enhancement with the current release:
• Support for including hardware ID in the VCA matchup algorithm.
• Support for de-coupling the hardware discovery from the System Management Homepage
browsing and moving to a dedicated thread.
• Support for HP SUM 4.1.1 version.

• Support for Proliant DL980 G7 CPLD firmware components.
HP Version Control Repository Manager (VCRM) adds the following enhancements with the current
release:
• Support for configuring VCA's to the VCRM where port 2301 is disabled.
• Support for a browse button to select the VCRM repository location.
• Support for archiving the older support packs and components.
• Support for including hardware ID matchup algorithm.
