HP VCRM
• Issue:
HP VCRM displays the Service Pack for ProLiant 2014.02 as invalid.
Description:
HP VCRM displays the Service Pack for ProLiant 2014.02 as invalid. This is due to the following
components missing from Service Pack for ProLiant 2014.02:
◦ HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver for Windows Server 2008 Version
1.14.0.0 (English (US), Japanese).
◦ HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver for Windows Server 2008 x64 Edition
Version 1.14.0.0 (English (US), Japanese).
Workaround:
None
NOTE: The missing components do not impact any SPP functionality in VCRM.
• Issue: Upload Support Pack option fails to upload large components from Service Pack for
ProLiant.
Description: The Upload Support Pack option in HP VCRM fails to upload components with a
size of more than 100 MB. HP VCRM displays the Service Pack for ProLiant as invalid message.
Workaround: To resolve the issue, use either of the following two options:
◦ Manually extract the missing component and place it in the repository.
◦ Place the Service Pack for ProLiant ISO file directly into the repository folder.
• Issue: Auto update appears to complete successfully, but no files are downloaded.
Description: This situation can occur when no HP VCA is configured to use the HP VCRM and
no operating system is selected in HP ProLiant and HP Integrity Support Packs for Operating
System settings page in HP VCRM.
Workaround: To resolve the issue, you must configure at least one HP VCA to use the HP
VCRM or use the HP VCRM's change repository and update settings option and click Next
to open HP ProLiant and HP Integrity Support Packs for Operating System settings page in HP
VCRM and select any operating system from the list to be downloaded by the auto update
process.
• Issue: Selecting Support Pack selects all the components contained in that support pack.
Description: When creating a Custom Software Baseline, if you select a Support Pack, it selects
all the components contained in that Support Pack.
Workaround: You can deselect a component from the Support Pack if you do not want to
include it.
• Issue: Using the CERN proxy.
Workaround: If you are using the CERN proxy, HP recommends configuring the HP VCRM to
use the HTTP proxy port instead of the FTP proxy port.
