Update install instructions Insight Control server provisioning 7.2.1 is an update release. It requires that you have Insight Control server provisioning 7.2 installed before you can update to 7.2.1. If you are a new customer, follow the instructions in “Instructions for new customers” (page 3). If you are an existing customer with Insight Control server provisioning 7.2 installed, follow the instructions in “Instructions for updating from 7.2 to 7.2.1” (page 4). Please check the website http://www.hp.
• Then you can access your appliance as described in the Accessing your appliance from a browser for the first time section. • Stop at this point and get ready to download and install the 7.2.1 update. See “Instructions for updating from 7.2 to 7.2.1” (page 4) for instructions (these instructions replace the update instructions in the Insight Control Server Provisioning 7.2 Installation Guide).
7. server provisioning 7.2.1 contains two .bin files and you will need to upload each one. The IC-server-provisioning-7.2.0–patch.bin file is specific to 7.2 and must be applied first because it provides fixes for the appliance update mechanism. The IC-server-provisioning-7.2.1–update.bin file is specific to 7.2.1 and must be applied after you apply the IC-server-provisioning-7.2.0–patch.bin file. Select the IC-server-provisioning-7.2.0–patch.bin file to upload first.
of Install update. The installation will take about two hours. And it requires a reboot which will happen automatically after the update completes. 12. Verify that the patch and update were properly installed. Check the appliance version shown in the Settings→Appliance page to verify that it is set to 7.2.1. If the appliance version is not 7.2.1 after installing the patch and the update, see “Instructions for recovering from a failed update” (page 6).

Creating a support dump You might want to create a support dump in the following situations: • Some error messages displayed by Insight Control server provisioning recommend you create a support dump of the appliance so it can be sent to HP Support for analysis. • If you experience a problem you think might require analysis of internal appliance data, HP recommends creating a support dump as soon as the problem occurs to better capture significant data.
Other information: • A status report of all processes • Dates of any certificates used NOTE: The following types of items might be included in the support dump as a result of collecting the data above: 10 • IP addresses (of the appliance, target systems, and connected browsers) • Host names • System UUIDs • User names (no passwords are ever collected in a support dump) • Network configuration information • WWIDs
