10.9.2 Edit DHCP input fields

The Insight Control server provisioning appliance is DHCP enabled. You may select the DHCP
capability of the appliance that is best for your environment.

DHCP enabled on the appliance.
None DHCP is disabled. This choice requires the use of an external DHCP server. See the
HP Insight Control Server Provisioning Administrator Guide, available at http://www.hp.com/
go/insightcontrol/docs, for additional information on DHCP.
NOTE: The TFTP server required to allow target servers to PXE boot from this appliance is always
running regardless of this setting.
Fields related to DHCP service provided by appliance
This is a read-only field and reflects the network your appliance is in.Base IP address
This is a read-only field and reflects the network your appliance is in.Netmask
The DHCP server will distribute addresses from the network specified above, but only within a
range you must specify. The starting address is the low address of that range.
Start of address
range
This is a required field.
This is the top address of the range of addresses from which DHCP addresses will be distributed.End of address
range
This is a required field.
This is the default gateway for a server that is being provided a DHCP address. The default
gateway is the gateway used by the server to route traffic to any network that it does not already
have access to. Your network administrator will have this information.
Gateway
This is an optional field.
This is a list of IP addresses your target servers will contact for DNS name resolution. Your network
administrator will have this information.
DNS servers
This is an optional field.
The DNS domain (for example, hp.com) of the target servers that will be getting the DHCP
addresses.
DNS domain
This is an optional field.
